Heya. I believe that Hazik has a slightly odd taste in music, but I respect that. Check this out.
For the song by The Cure, you have to watch on Youtube. Just click the video.

Hehe, that's quite a mix you have there Frootlupe. You can't go wrong with Hendrix. I can't say I'm much into Maiden or The Cure.
If you are a Robert Smith fan you may want to check out Syd Barrett if you have ever heard of him. He was an original member of Pink Floyd. He was only with them for their early singles and on their first two albums. He had a couple of slightly unpolished but, I think, excellent solo albums before removing himself from public life. From what I can gather he seems to have had a significant influence on Smith. I can't recommend Pink Floyd's first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, highly enough if you haven't ever heard it before. Syd seemed to lean more to the cheerier side of things with an edge of sadness to them.
There's not a lot of Syd footage out there. This one is pretty good, but he is entering his mental breakdown here. It's basically his last Pink Floyd work.
Here's just some audio from one of his solo songs.

That's pretty decent, but I'm more of a headbang or foot-tapper. I like to have a strong ryhtym to kind of sway to, you know? I appreciate and enjoy music that's quiet and everything, but that's not really me. I enjoy Rush, which I saw you already posted, so I won't, as well.
I would have liked to post some Black Sabbath or Ozzy, but the quality I see isn't good enough and he keeps swearing for no reason, though I don't mind that much.

Most of Piper is more up tempo, definitely psychadelic too though so depending on how much you're into that sound.
I'm pretty sure I posted some Sabbath somewhere. There are a couple of pretty good clips from, I think, a show in Paris that if I remember correctly are decent.

Haz,
Ever heard of Mr. Bungle? I remember a guy listening to them in college. If I remember their sound correctly, seems like they may be a band you would be into.

Hi Frootlupe I remember that name from a David Blaine vid with a guy with circles dyed into his hair I like all of your vids and say that Hazik has some 'very' strange tastes in music ;D Rainbow were my band of choice...They rocked, Richie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio and Cozy Powell....Just a mass of sound (Play very loud!! )

Man on the Silver Mountain is awesome. I always liked Deep Purple more than Rainbow for some reason though.
I voted for 70's stoner Rock since I figured I had more favorite artists/groups there than anywhere else based on the example being given as Zeppelin. Although I don't agree with the label, hehe. Rock could be split into so many different pieces it basically gets ridiculous after a while. How could someone like Zappa ever be labeled. Probably could have put southern rock, prog rock, just kept hard rock(I think Zeppelin, Black Sabbath others fit here better), etc... rather than trying to separate it by decades.
And what about jazz(with its million variations) and classical music? I like some Wagner, Mozart, Beethoven, etc... from time to time.
PS Hehe, rereading that above, I kind of sound like I'm bashing your list. Not the case, it just got me thinking is all.

I think my first album that I bought was the Very Best of Deep Purple on cassette (can you call it an album? ) Anyway I think I just got into Rainbow because that was on vinyl, so I got to use the families stereo system which was a lot louder than my portable cassette As for Jazz, I can't think of any that I've listened to and my classical days were very short lived, though some of the classics are quite relaxing

Yeah, sorry about the limited vote choices. It was a bad idea lawls! How could anyone possibly categorize music exactly correct? And I'm kind of embarrassed now to see some examples I put in for certain genres . I guess I wasn't thinking that day or something. My dad's into new wave and punk and hard rock and basically everything you could think of except rap, hip hop, most new pop crap, stuff that haz likes that is similar to Korn, bad country, and light Christain rock (which I can't stand!!). He has a tolerance to classical, and likes jazz, blues, latin jazz, etc. He's basically exposed me to a lot of stuff, so I'm not very knowledgeable in any one band or music type. I guess later on I will want to listen to more of one particular band and I will be completely submerged in their work for a period of time, but I'm assuming that's normal .

Cathegorize music correct? Ask 10 music listeners or 10 music producers or 10 music professors to cathegorize sub-genres of music styles and you will get at least 12 answers, i think... So your request seems a little too impossible to me I do prefer Rock / Heavy Metal / European Power Metal anyway... ah... and I forgot NDH (neue deutsche Härte); Rammstein, Megahertz and Eisbrecher are examples
