Banned for no reason

Hi, i was playing on your server today, breaking no rules what so ever, not saying anything offensive and helping my team. Then moosea decided to ban me, purely on the basis that i was banned before.
I was banned wrongly before because i aparently "hacked". This is not the case, i do not cheat, have never cheated and will never cheat.

Could you please un-ban me.

...but i have genuinely done absolutely nothing wrong. In fact i play fairly, and courtiously and help the team, i am a regular and have friends who UBC are friends with also. It just seems illogical, i have played many times with you McNite and you have never found any fault in my actions or if you have then you have failed to ever mention it. I am just confused about the whole thing...

If you were banned before then there is going to be a reason .
]UBC[ refs are very thorough, and if they feel that a person should still not be allowed on our server after previous problems, then they have every right to make that so.

I was initially banned, without being specced, with no demos made, without going against anything any admin had said for hacking. I can state that i do not hack, nor will i ever. And if you wish for demos of me playing then you may have them.

Igor was the person who banned me, i then had a conversation with him through the quake wars friend messaging system, where he apologised for banning me, after i explained that i dont cheat and never will, he then said he didnt have the power to unban me, but i would be removed next time the ban list was reviewed.

I was then removed from the ban list, but then the other day was happily playing on the server, doing absolutely nothing wrong in the slightest. Moosea then said "hey, werent you banned before?", to which i replied yes, but wrongly. But before i could expand on that statement i was banned again...

So i guess there was 2 reasons i was banned, firstly by mistake, and secondly because someone saw that i had previously been placed on the list by mistake...

I think i have a fair point.

Err.. thats not completely true.. almost.

A discussion took place between myself and other clan members. You had a previous ban for suspect playing. I was not, and am not aware that it had been agreed with any clan member that this would be lifted. I have looked through some of the old internal forum topics - found nothing to say that.

I appreciate that you would like the ban lifted, Vanishing Point is a very popular server.
But I ask that you understand my position as a server admin.

- You had a previous ban for suspect playing.
- I watched you several times while I was dead, shoot good players very easily.
- Other players on my team had commented on this.

Vanishing Point is a fun server. We work very hard to keep it that way for the majority of players.

I will discuss this matter with Igor when I next speak to him, but until then the ban remains.

Haha, this is hillarious....you think i actually use hacks? well i guess that is the greatest complement i can get so i thank you for that. However i can assure you, you are mistaken. My aim is good purely due to practice, i have played promod for a long time. I played a match or 2 for The UK national team aswell as playing pro, in competitions and ladders for sGs. and eXT00 gamming. I definately do not hack, i merely play at a much higher level usually, but due to the collapse of the comp scene now play vanilla.

As for your other accusations i am afraid they are false. sGs. is my clan tag, as i am in that clan. I have been using it infront of my name for over a year now. And on every occassion i have been playing on your server it has been there. So this claim that i slightly altered my name to play is nonsense.

I would like to refer you to some frag videos of other good players, most better than myself, so you can see what is possible through practice, not hacking. These are all players who have played at LANs, and therefor are definately definately not hacking. May i also add, that when you play in ladders and cups you have to submit your demos to the authority so they can check to see if you are hacking or not. I have done this numerous times and obviously have never had any complaints.

lol, this is one of the most imature, ignorant, unncessarily offensive comments i have ever seen. I take it UBC has no problem with under 18's, although i would recomend stopping sexually frustrated 10 year olds from spamming their forums.

Can i add, that openly saying your entire clan would happily commit arson, is not the best way for visitors to your forum to see the clan. Maybe re-think your members UBC, blue appears to have issues.

You know i love you guys to bits..
I consider you guys a class act, apart for the you tube stuff.

Hacking ...I know this seems to a be theme going thru the Community.

Hacking aimbots ,multihacks . As a Admin) i am on the look out for hackers but we (ocb) have more problems with glitchers than hackers.

Excellent player = Hacker
One huge problem which i noticed a lot now is players suspected of hacking with no concrete proof apart from being extremely good.
You know that ppbans is flawless and you will not see Apoc ,seraphic merc or accurate in the list.

The Ocb share vent with SGS Clan were Serp Plays.
Now I gather youve not heard of SGS they do not play much public but play competive.They left playing quake wars about a year ago.They are mostly playing L4D were they have just won the euro cup.Serp was a major QW comp player and is well known in that scene.

Serp loves Qws and his clan aborted playing Quake W so he plays with us.
He is an awesome player but he frustrates a lot of players due to his kill ratio and its understandable why UBC think hes a hacker.If you ask him and (i am sure he would oblige )some of his techniques it become quite clear hes not a hacker.Oh Btw he is a very nice guy too.no need to lose the moral highround

So if my word is worth anything i can vouch for him and for the record it was me who asked for his ban to be overturned the first time around.
I am a guest here but I hope for positive comments and feedback. Like wise you are always welcome to comment on our forums and play on our servers.

But having seen SGS in practice and playes them in comp as well as been on Vent with them i can put my 5c in saying they don't hax

they are a step above in terms of skill and the fact they play comp and win alot and there have been no issues says alot, as you are no doubt aware these servers stream to PBbans so i'm sure they would have been caught sooner if they were into hax

anyway it's your server and you are free to do as you please just feel an inocent player is being tared with a very wrong brush

It's not accomplishing anything but blowing the whole thing even more out of proportion. You basically have no chance of changing anyones mind now about the whole thing.

The other thing I don't understand is if you are truly that good than what fun is it to get on pub vanilla servers and own everyone? You need to find somewhere where the competition is at your level or when pubbing, play with the community in mind. With your skills, you could easily be more vocal in keeping balance in a game, and have others respect you and want to play with you instead of being annoyed by and suspicious of you. ads had very nice things to say about your skills to the point that you sound like a "pro" class player. Again how many pro-athletes go looking to beat up on people way below their skill level. People are not going to have fun or stick around to keep playing.

Wouldnt have brought it up in other places if i didnt find the statement "if we could we would burn your house down" personally offensive, distatefull and to be honest i shouldnt have to deal with threats like that when playing a game. I can accept that, every now and again there are idiots, that say stupid things. But for then the entire clan to have no issue with it, support it and be happy with it. Im sorry if you disagree with this but i thought it was appauling and people need to be warned.

I would play with people of my own skill level but the pro scene for etqw has collapsed. There are next to no matchs and hardly any propub. This is worsened by the fact that i can only play on a sunday due to my schedule. I personally dont think you should begrudge me playing my favourite game in the only way possible one day a week. But thats my opinion.

Ads is a great guy and so are the whole OCB clan. I apreciate the comments ( <3 ).

However it by their comments and their unwavering opinion that anyone who can roughly aim is a hacker. I cant see the ban being lifted, and to be honest after whats been said i cant say im dissapointed any more. Used to love the server, purely due to ping and server size, however the clan itself has put me off.

1 of my own viwes is that his ban should reman for 1 of the main reson for me. is just from the fact that he came back on to the server under a duff name becouse his other name was banned and was still being talk about with igor. what shows abit of lack of respect for the server and server admin.
