;D Hey Moosea.
these guys have been around for an age (Alienware) and they know what there doing regarding overclocking, and building PC's for gamers.
you wouldn't be able to build the Aurora for very much less and totally upgradeable in your own time or when funds become available. And! that case is something else ;D go on you tube to check the Aurora out, very well designed and very easy to access.
Nvidia GTX260 is what I'm using and is great middle of the road card that is more than capable of handling all games. Ive put this card on max for Bad Company 2 without any probs.
when i need a new system (which isn't to far in the future) this is were I'm getting one from
Regarding ATI. they deal with these cards but, at an extra cost

oooh, I forgot that Dell took over Alienware. They are the driving force behind my building systems from scratch after I bought from them years ago. Hopefully they haven't stuck their fingers into Alienware's business practices too much.
I think you could build a similar system for less cash, but probably not save huge amounts. I enjoy the process of building my own, but I could see where paying a little more to have it all just ready to go and avoid any potential hassles could be attractive. I can't say I've ever heard anything negative about Alienware, and they have to be doing something right to survive in the higher end gaming PC business.
I have the GTX 260 as well, and its a solid card. I bought one that was already tuned up and had to turn it down some cause it was getting hot on me. I messed with its fan speed some too and that made a big difference as well. It's a big card and stuck at the bottom of my case where there is the least airflow. You probably wouldn't have any issues with an OC'ed one with a specially designed cooling system that Alienware seems to tout.
I don't know if Alienware handles ATI stuff, but they seem to be the current leader in basically all levels of cards. It may be worth checking there stuff out to get your biggest bang for your buck.
