Just wanted to let everyone know that I burned out yet another computer

I am in the process of building another and will be back.

Computer was fried by the heat. I went away and we had really hot weather. I was not home to turn on the air conditioning and my office in on the second floor were it gets to like 100 degrees. Cant figure out whats wrong yet . Sending it in for repair tomorrow so we will see.

That video is great. I was really sad when I looked on Youtube and found out it's done using a pre-heated pan.

It should be possible, right?
You need a temperature of 65-70°C to cook an egg and some of the passively cooled GFX cards I've seen have shutdown temperatures well over 100 degrees.


I don't think this guy has got the right idea though. No frying pan

Bad news, the motherboard is cooked I usually have my systems build at a computer fair that comes around but it is not coming for a while and I need one sooner. So I am going to have to buy one online from like ibuypower.com, alien etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on what site or sites are the best? Thanks all

I know I built my system 5 years ago too and theres so many options now its making my head spin I have been trying to do my home work on it and get my self up to date & hopefully I should be back soon.

Not playing is driving me bananas !!

I use www.tomshardware.com a good bit as a resource when I build a machine. They have lots of good reviews and articles.
They do system builder articles at different price points quite often and are right in the middle of a new one with systems built at $500, $1000, and $2000.

Otherwise, just buy a Dell or Alienware. Good quality stuff and easy to pick.

ok I have everything up and running except my dvd drive will not work for some reason. I need to reload the game onto my hard drive, does anyone know where I can get the full download off the net? Otherwise I have to wait for my new dvd drive. Thanks
