Last RPG I played was Baulders Gate 2 ;D Ah, sweet, sweet Balders Gate. I'd gladly play an rpg with the same level of graphics if they were of the same gameplay quality as the Balders series. Have you ever gave Torment a try? Very cool game from same era and I think engine. Hehe, here is the last two RPG's I've played, Geneforge and Geneforge 2. Check the graphics on these bad boys. www.spidweb.com/geneforge/index.htmlExcellent games though graphically dated. Before those it was Fallout 3 so I'll go to the extremes for a good rpg. Here's some more Dragon Age videos. Hehe, love it. Tons of exposition and storyline. And here's actually some direct (although a little fuzzy) player combat, looks a lot like a 3D version of Balders.

I haven't tried Torment, but will have a look for it I liked the first Balders Gate for the guy called Boo, who was a psycho who attacked anyone who was opposite to his alignment and him having a hamster was cool Also I played the Icewind Dale series as well, I'm a D&D person really ;D I did play Final Fantasy 7 on the N64. I just haven't seen a RPG that's got me interested of late though Maybe this Dragon Age might renew my interest in them

Boo was the hamster, hehe. Had to love random comments/ battle cries like, "The squeaky wheel gets the cheese!". I had to check Youtube and yep they have some audio. I liked the Icewind Dales too. Much more just hack and slashes but still fun. How did I know Haz would be into the Japanese rpgs? I played a good number of them but not for some time since I don't keep up with consoles any longer. I like the development options and exploration that seems to be more prevalent in PC focused rpg's. The Fallout series is also excellent.

LMAO at the utube stuff ;D I couldn't remember the name, just Boo stuck in my head and it doesn't surprise me either that H is into the manga looking stuff Have you played WOW Abe? I don't because I won't pay for a game each month, but it's got 11 million users apparently

Have you played WOW Abe? Haven't tried WOW and most likely never will. Had someone try to get me into Everquest, and I'm glad I avoided that. Basically my only mmorpg experience was Star Wars Galaxies. Had a lot of fun moments but almost started feeling like a job. That one had a lot of cool ideas built into but also a lot of problems that never got fixed like balance between classes and the whole jedi system. I unlocked the jedi class for my character but it was an absolutely and ubelievably long, tedious, and mostly unenjoyable process. I did try the Dungeons and Dragons online beta. It was kind of neat but I didn't want to be at the mercy of having to count on others to play an rpg(I know that sounds backwards considering the pen and paper origins of real rpg's). The Lord of the Rings one sounds interesting too because of a lot of solo content but why pay for an mmorpg account to play solo? I stick solely to single player rpg's now and rely on multiplayer shooters for any online interaction.

From what you say it's exactly what I thought they'd be like, long winded and frustrating and more to the point for me, expensive in comparison to a single player game that has an end ;D

You should be playing the Zork series, hehe. By the way, ever try the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy text game? I could only ever get to the Heart of Gold and then just got stuck, so hard.

Hehe Abe, Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy ;D Would it suprise you to say I don't have a cell phone So no texting for me I knew you liked Hitchhikers, but the text I'm referring to doesn't have to do with cell phones. I didn't even think of that connotation when I wrote it, which I should have known better because of this modern world we live in. (That's cool you don't have a cell phone. I probably wouldn't have one if it wasn't paid for by work. As a trade off, I don't have a land line, which has its own benefits.) Here's the game I was talking about. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy_(computer_game)Also, here's Zork too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zork
