BF Bad Company 2 - Beta Testing

Hey,

does anyone of you have the beta test version, or played it, and what are your experiences? How does it compare to QW/ old BF? And how does it run on your computer? Do you need a 2.000 $ gfx-card to run it?

My GF's son got it on Xbox, where I tryed it.. and it looks very good. I tryed it using a joypad (or what they are called, and that suckt) but besides that, it was very cool.

The movement was ET-QW like.

What more to say?.. It's totally awsome

Thought I meet some of you guys on the Beta.But as I see,no one of you is playing it

Just started(3-4hours played so far),but I can definite say,it's worth a buy.

I'm playing it on an almost 3 years old system.Videocard is a 8600GTS Overclocked the card heavy for this game. ;DSettings all on Low,of course

Hi,
played over 10 hours already

What can I say:It's brilliant.
Compared to ETQW,BFBC2 has more weapons,it has the far better spawningsystem,it's much more tactical,great sound......

What some people complaigning about is you cannot lay down-only crouch.But I dont really miss that at all.
On foot you move kinda slow,slower than in ETQW.

On my PC it looks really bad.You must have a system which is up to date.

Got to buy me a new one first before buying that game

Hm what s this about the deluxe edition which costs a lot more... you get 2 weapons and other stuff like additional tank armour that you only get when you buy this kind of key? Which means with money you can get a serious advantage over other players? or am I wrong there...

The "slower" part worries me... i don't really like TF2 because its slower than ET or QW.

Another question, maybe chicken can enlighten me there: it said that there are only 8 maps in this game, what are the chances of custom maps, and will they be playable on ranked servers?

From what research I've done and my personal gaming experience and knowledge, I don't think that buying the "limited edition" will matter or help much. It says that yes, you do get a few extra weapons at the start, but you can get those by normal rank progression as well.

As for the tank armor and extra gun, I don't see how only certain players with limited edition copies can have another available pilot gun while others don't. And trust me MC: if your PC is at least 2008 updated it will be fine. Don't worry about slower gameplay or lagg until you actually read the system requirements. No use in worrying about something before anyone can really be sure.

This game will support dedicated servers, so I have to expect that eventually, if not at the start, custom maps will be able to be created. And besides, if the gameplay is as intense and sophisticated as it seems, 8 maps will be plenty.

If you pre-order a copy of the game from GameStop, EB Games, or I think it was Amazon in Europe (check Wikipedia. All the information you need is there), then you get one of the guns listed in the limited edition version from the start for less cash. But hey, if possible vehicle upgrades interest you, I say go for it.
