He likes leathe clad Germans and seems at least impartial to leather clad Englishmen. You know he's hardcore 'cause he runs Linux. Even with all this going on he's happy chilling with his wine. He's ]UBC[Testomat. Welcome man.

Welcome Testomat Really sorry I missed your recruitment. Always nice to see a fellow linux user on quake wars. Doesn't look like there will be any linux love for Brink - they're using steamworks. What distro are you using?

@ abercrab : Haha you are the best with the oktoberfest -vid. thx for the nice welcome (guys and girls) malkofish : great to hear that you are using linux too i have a problem with the sound on linux, i'm using a x-fi with the kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64 and with alsa 1.0.23 it's works fine with etqw (dd5.1 + toslink). the main problem is that when i start etqw and make a voice test with the mic, the receiver onkyo 606 going crazy and i haven't sound in any way. ( i must restart the system, although i restart the alsa process). and the second failure is that etqw doesn't show me the setting device mic. the field is blank. btw i' using debian (testing/unstable) rumor that steam is going to support linux.

the second failure is that etqw doesn't show me the setting device mic. the field is blank. btw i' using debian (testing/unstable) I have always had this problem but I can still get the mic to work in kubuntu 10.10. First I have to turn off pulseaudio (not sure if you're running that). Then I set the microphone capture to true and volume to 100%. I run a script which turns off the KDE desktop effects and opens the mic before launching quake wars.

Hi people, Always fun to see how Linux users flame on Windows and self having issues getting Linux to run. Windows 7 and ETQW funs like a charm without doing much
