whats UBC playing now???

i think its awesome UBC is still going strong. im sure in no small part to McNite

my roomate and i actually founded UBC back in 2001 i believe when RTCW was still a demo

just curious what UBC is playing now??

back in 2001 i was a bartendor at a place called University Billiards Club and we all called it "UBC"

back when ETQW came out i just couldnt get into it. . back then i played alot of BF1942. ive been playing mostly single player games lately ..

We play mainy Quake wars, but we do have the odd ET night
A few of us play Battlefield BC2, and I'm fairly sure that most people will be giving Brink a go

Why not look us up on QW sometime - would be nice to get a game with you

Long time no Rivaaaaaaaaaaaaa hehe.

Good to see you on here.. wow.. 10 years goes fast, I remember it like yesterday when we owned totally on the server that ONLY had one MAP. running "The River". To this day I still thing it's the MAP. I have played the most (15-20 times pr. day for 5 years or something.. lol) My nick back then was "The V" or "The Viking".

Like Moosea says, could be so cool if you came online, maybe for a UBC. night and played with us

Hey "Viking" i do remember you.. and yes there was no clan out there that could touch us on "The River".. i cant even imagine how many times and hours i put into that map. i played it so much my wife had to learn how to play otherwise we didnt spend any time together.. lol you probably remember her also - "lil vicious"

about 6months ago i installed RTCW again and tried to play but it just wasnt the same.

like i said above i tried ET and ETQW and i just couldnt get into it. ive had BFBC since it was released but i havent even played it yet.

you might remember my roomate back then "Neoclassicl". a few years ago we played a ton of BF2 and BF2 2142.

maybe i will install ETQW again and give it another try. i have to find it first..lol

10 years ago, hmmm....I was still young back than and playing QuakeII CTF. Awww that sounds long ago

We should try to get the old and new members together
ccc do you have contact with any of the older members?
"Not age wise because I am the only one that is older then dirt"
Would be great if we had a 10 year anniversary game or party on line
Even if we didn't play a game we could all be on TS and have couple beers and chat ;D

Hehe, you're part of the genesis of this whole thing. I've had countless hours of fun with this crew so thanks.

Also, much gratitude for the info on our real origins. We only got smoke and mirrors from McNite when asked, hehe. I'm not sure if it was he didn't remember or just liked tormenting us.

Hello ccc! Thanks for making the clan and everything been loads of fun. I think I'm the youngest clan member, feel a bit bad still about taking it away from Hazik when I joined, but if you wanted to know what ]UBC[ plays, well, mainly ETQW.

But I individually play ETQW, CSS, GM, WoW, Arma II/OA, BFBC2, and some Mount & Blade here and then. Wouldn't expect to see any other clan members on most of those, but just in case you have them I thought I'd put them out there .

Congrats ]UBC[ on being 10 years old ;D.

i appreciate the kind words everyone i still find it hard to believe ubc is still around. i definately need to get ETQW installed so i can give it another go.

]UBC[Neoclassicl, the other founding member, is the only one i still talk to from the original clan. the other 2 original members dont even play games anymore, well atleast not on the pc.

when neo and i went over to the BF series McNite really kept the clan going. he started playing rtcw with us not too long after we started ubc.

i pretty much suck now compared to back then. its amazing what a lack of practice will do. but im definately up for getting my arse kicked
