Castle Attack Testing

Hi ]UBC[,

Having had a quick chat with Mcnite today about the possibility of some help testing my new map Castle Attack. I will give you some info on objectives plus a couple of piccies. The map is complete, but the command map is not really what i wanted but its the best i can do. I hope you all enjoy playin on it, cos its gettin a little lonely running around the map on my own lol.

Objectives :

ALLIES :

- Destroy the first tank barrier.
- Destroy the entrance to the castle.
- Use the tank to destroy the memorial.
- Capture the radio parts.
- capture the secret documents.
- capture the forward spawn.
- Build the command Post.

AXIS :

- Build the first tank barrier.
- Build the second tank barrier.
- Defend the memorial in the castle.
- Defend the radio parts.
- Defend the secret documents.
- Defend the forward spawn.
- Build the command Post.

Scenario :

Axis forces have set up a secret base in a castle in
the french region of Loire.Steal whatever documents you
can find and steal the radio parts to enable you to
transmit the documents. The radio is located in the village.

A group of Allied soldiers have been air-dropped into the
village, they will hope to gain the radio parts and documents,
then repair the radio and transmit the documents from the
damaged village radio.Defend the castle at all costs. And
prevent the allies from transmitting the documents.

So basically the question is are we up for a playtest of []v[]'s map Castle Attack?
A question to the mapper: how much do u play ET? And did you have other players/ mappers check out the map already or would be the very first to see it apart from you? If so, maybe it makes sense to just provide a (private) link for download first, and one or more of us can check it out on their own. It would be a pity to set up a whole playtest just to find out there are major gameplay bugs. (Gotta ask this because it was different with Bridges which Kach--> had been testing from beta2 on.

Hi McNite, Iv played et since it came out and continue to do so. No-one else has played on this map, that is why i need some more people to see if the spawns are working really. I can understand you wanting to have a walk around to check it out and i can provide a link tomorrow so you can do that but i definetly wont be making changes based on single player walk-arounds , im just looking for bugs. Gameplay can only be tested with many people and there will be variations on how that works depending on how many players in it at a time. Like i said I will have a link ready by tommorow morning hopefully.

Hello everyone,

Well I was planning on posting that we were going to do a playtest of Castle Attack today. []v[] has instead decided that he is going to release a current version of the map as a public Beta instead. So look for it with your ASE or whatever you use, and I still think sending him any feedback would be a good thing.
