Hello everybody, first of all i want to thank you by all these years we've been playing RTCW and ET, specially. I really had a wonderful time with you and i enjoyed it with such a big passion ;D. I don't know if you remember me, but i do The reason i didn't play so much is because of my career, that i didn't have so much free time. Anyway I'm adapted at college and i know more or less how to manage. Yes, i bought Quake Wars in September 2007 when it came here, but i couldnt play it well(it was slow in my computer) so i left it for a while. Anyhow I think, thats just my opinion, that ET was a better way of entertainment. At least there weren't bots before. So i wanted to share something with you all (because you are teammates too even though what people could say) I found which may be REALLY SUCCESFUL : It's name is Age of Chivalry, and yes, this is another kind of game, but realistic as ET, even more indeed, with team play as well. It's a first person medieval half life 2 mod(but it doesn't have anything with half life 2) and this is what i am playing right now. The creators of the mod, which is Team Chivalry, are updating it and working hard to be the best melee combat game, It is not like Dark Messiah or Oblivion, this is not fantanstic, but with an original argument. There are weapons of distance too, a lot of them and vehicles of sieges. It's just like the age of crusaders, with incredible battles. I really hope this mod which stand out so much for me at least, becomes as popular as ET. To see what is this about, and if you please of course, i give you some links, this game needs people too, coz there are just 2 or 3 servers actives right now, but with a lot of ppl in them. By the way, you can play it too if you have counter strike source or day of defeat. It works with steam. I don't need to explain it all here about the game, in the manual there's everything with the best details and animations. I really recommend you to try this guys, it's something I've never seen before. I install it today. First walk was a bit confusing as in qw it seems there are lot to learn with map and class. Imo the gameplay is not as fun as in dark messiah; let's said it's more realistic.
Is there a class that can heal his mate? Is there some kind of Xp system?
Maj: I play several hours more. great ambience. good teamwork. Might be real fun to play under TS with some mate.

Hello Igor, First, thanks for the interest, I don't know if i did told you, the game can be played but it's not complete. Yes, this is realistic as you said, anyway i agree with you with the healing, coz there isn't yet anything for that. They should think about it(there's a box where you get items like arrows, "greek fire" and throwable smoke potions for ranged attackers, they could add it there) The balance of the weapons is ok, i hope it gets much better in the new version. I suppose real medieval games don't have so much gameplay like in others. But there are objectives too(like wearing a battering ram and a tower with stairs to break into a clastle, or not letting them pass to a place so they win(like capture a flag) and using catapults or huge ballistas(In helms Deep map the objectives are just the same like in the movie LOTR). What i like a lot of the game is that the map rotation can change depending if your team wins or loses, having a kind of "history". The manual includes the argument. And balances for each class: each class has different weapons, despite the main one. The talents of each one have to be updated too. The way of attacking is original, you just have to be careful so you make it hard to kill you, even if your warrior gets exhausted and not able to attack , keep your stamina. This changelog is very hopeful. Once it will be set, this game would be a must-try. Maybe even better than dark messiah multi. Also as it's free mod, I bet it would have a longer life than DM. Actually the DM server might be dead. Let's wait the 2nd october. Thanks to you to make me discover it. I will keep an eye on that game.

Hi Reptilo I will try it this week end, I liked the DM multi, but the lack of players on the servers and very unbalanced classes when the game was released turn it dead too quick...

hi im hazik im playing half life 2 at the moment. yes im well behind everyone in playing this game ;D if i download this mod it wont mess with my half life2 saved game will it?

The mod use the code of half life2. But the 2 game run apart. Your saves will stay safe.
The only thing you have to do, is to download the last build & to follow the instruction to install it. After the mod will be "steamed" like Counter Strike Source game for example.
It seems you better have to wait a couple of day before to try it. The 1.2 have to be available yesterday, but as valve is integrating the management of this mod by steam. There is some delay.
Anyway 1.1.1 is available. But you will have to install 1.2 from scrach when this release would be out.

Hi folks, 1.2 is on, I'm downloading it(%90 ;D) and by now I'm reading the updates in the main page of the game, I can't wait to play it!! And that's it Igor, Hazik this game is another thing appart, it doesn't have anything with HL2
