Retro RTCW night!

I was on a RTCW server today and actually found 1 guy on there from Germany
We were playing Tran and Sub
I had a ping of 70
It was really strange for me because I have never played it with less than 350 to 450 ping with my old 56K modem but now with my new fiber optic connection I could actually do something like not have to lead my target by a 1/2 inch ( or 13mm for most of you ha ha ) just to hit it.
What I really started laughing about was the huge green marker above the guy’s head carrying the objective with the ( ! ) in it ( IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )
Not sure if I remember the Map River
I do remember Beach Tram Sub Chateau Keep Base Depot and the one were you had to get the gold to the truck does anyone remember the name of that one?

The map name is Village, there is a ET conversion for it as well.

Maybe the German guy that was on the server was Frenzy the guy that is hosting the server for us ?

Frenzy is Ex Legion now with the Growroom and a top notch guy, {TWR} met up with him when we traveled to Belgium on one of our meets.

He says he can increase the slots if we need to as there are a lot signing up for this night.

If you find on the night that you dont have a map it is quicker to disconnect and download the map from that link and reconnect afterwards as opposed to waiting for the server to deliver the map from what I can remember with RTCW.

Well then just everybody should download ALL the maps you can get from that link, then nobody has to disconnect for getting the maps.

Can anybody test whether the voting is enabled already, so we can have a River game whenever we want to? ;D

Voting is enabled and I have just called up River with no problems via the player vote.

also is that sever running a newer pb than the 1 we had to download??

when i just went on it up in the left hand coner its was say "warning puckbuster clin running old vision" and as i was the only 1 on there i tack it it was talking about me?

Zman also said about the PB being old, Frenzy said he will get it sorted for the night.

All maps in RTCW go the following folder

C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\Main

or the \Main directory you installed the game on.

Sooo, what are my chances to participate if I don't own the original game? Does it have real CD-key system or can I just warez it and join right in?

Real CD key system m8, not sure how long it would b before you are kicked and banned.

Find someone and borrow their CD but make sure they don't try to play at the same time... if you use a CD-key of someone else who is using it too, I think the key gets banned.

Alternatively the server could be set to unpure, then the key doesn't matter.

Don't know any1 who owns the game, so guess I'll get myself so wasted on saturday that playing FPS is the last thing on my mind on sunday....

hi every1 becouse im abit of a noob in this game. i need to ask two things???

is there anything that can so show you where other player are in the game e.g rader?

also where do you look to see what your mission are in the game?

I don't think there is a radar, that came up with ET.
You can read the missions (which are called objectives) in the Limbo menue.

If in doubt, go where the noise is, and if there are a lot of enemies, you might be close to the objective... or their spawn ;D

the sever we are ment to play on. isnt letting me in. it cant seem to make up its mind some days i can get in other days i cant at the mo it is saying

After many troubles last sunday within the try out, I fix my problem by buying my own copy on Ebay with the helps of mc. I try it today nd it seems to work properly now

hi im not sure if i will be there now. i didnt have a good night last i shouldnt of drunk so much at the party last night i so shouldnt of gone to that party but i will try to play tonight. ;D

also im not sure if i can go on team speak as last time i went on the with it i hard no game sound but i will try ts to see if it will work

Hm I m sorry but the server settings of the UL server were... sucky? The basic things like drop your gun and decent brightness didn't work. It might be a mod, but if you can't see shit, its useless. And yes, I did pull the brightness slider all the way to the right.

We went to another server and got our asses spanked by some bots instead ;D

i kept on getting kick from the frist sever even tho i uninstalled pb and reinstalled. so my pb is up todate. plus i dont know why but my ts stop the sound from the game for me. so i can only hear ts.

yes the person was an ass just wise there was some way of kicking him for good?

No there wasn't. Even when he got kicked for too many complaints he was back on in a few secs.
