Put your thinking caps on..........For a while now I've had a problem with etqw. It's become more frequent lately. During about 10 minutes on the game...my player/man can only move right, left, forward and backward during this time he cannot shoot or anything. Sometimes he continually shoots the gun, which can sometime make other players mad...lol. When I go to exit game...will go to disconnect screen, I cannot move the cursor to disconnect. I have to restart computer....Anyway that's the best way to describe it to you. Computer works fine outside of game...It's very frustrating.....any ideas??

It look like the communication of your mouse with the game has a failure. Mi5 have the same kind of problem, he can't shoot and have to restart his computer. As his mouse is wireless, I suggest him to check the commucation of his mouse with his computer. For no results at the the moment.
I would try to remove the game for a proper reinstallation. If you have an autoexec with your settings, make a copy first. You could also make a save of your binding.cfg and profile. cfg. But as it's possible your problem come from that files, it may be a mistake. C:\Documents and Settings\windows user name\My documents\id Software\Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars\sdnet\~Pax~\base
Once the game uninstalled, be sure the Idsoftware folder in your documents is uninstalled too. If not, delete it manualy.
It's extrem, but if the you still have the problem, you will be sure, it don't come from the game and you will search for something else.

Pax, is your mouse a wireless one? If so, try a cable mouse first. Maybe that makes a difference. Its less hassle than a complete reinstall for a start.

Yes just thought about it, awaking this morning. First better try your chance with a wire mouse.

This has also happened to me, but I find out that some other program is taking over, like Vista wanting to tell me something Are any other programs wanting something?? Or an anti-virus program giving your computer stick!! Check what else is running at the same time that might cause a conflict
