Interesting article focusing on Hard Disk Short Stroking.

Short Stroking doesn't look to be all that useful to the home user, but the article has some interesting performance comparisons between different drives and setups. If I would have read this a few months ago, I would have been a lot more tempted to get some 15k rpm drives and set them up in a RAID array.

Don't know if I'd like lots of hard drives working at 10% capacity and pumping out all that heat though!
