Just run some quick benchmarks. The new mat is performing well. Where is the little green at? There's a green pattern in the top right corner, like Jackson Pollock sneezed on it. Edit: I might try a dual-mat SLI setup in the coming weeks. Stay tuned

Awesome performance of that mousepad, never seen it before. Hereby I'll announce you as the fantastic mousepad expert-guy malkofish: yeah, I've read it. Very dissapointing, just paid the bill and still want start using it and RMA it later on. New boards will probably be shipping from of april and by using only SATA-600 ports the issue will not show up.

Darkpower Pro P9 (550watt) / Corsair Graphite 600T / Win7 Pro x64 SP1 That looks like a nice setup prutskip. What do you think of the Corsair 600T case? I'm looking at one for my next box.

Thanks! I have looked for a long time (6 months or so) to many computer cases and this was the only one with everything I was looking for in theory. In real-life it even rocks more! Case is of superior quality, very very easy to build-in, good air-flow and near silent. I'm totally happy with it! Are you (and other UBC players) still going to show computer setups and gaming rooms? I'm always curious to that

A little nifty thing I have used a few times to make Fans blow more or less, just thougt I wanted to share. I have also used it to stop Fans making so much noise, I know it blows less, but my expirence is that you still got pretty good both airflow and coolness with 7 and 5 volt.

That's indeed a nice trick with old 2-wired fans, but in case you have a new(er) mainboard there are most of the time 3- or 4-pin connector available. When using 3- or 4 pin fans it's possible to change speed by the bios/uefi or operating system. That way also temperatures are monitored and fan-speed adjusted. But than again...for old fans good way to silence up a bit

Hey prutskip
You did followed the rules when you received your new system didn't you?
1) 1st rule and maybe the only rule is you have to smell everything as you take it out of the boxes I am not talking just a whiff but a good hard smell ;D ;D ;D
Looks like a great system I really like the SSD

Very nice prut, and nice trick blue.
Prut, curious why you went with Win 7 Pro? Hehe, I was just telling zman it was overkill for him, but now he probably wants it again.

Windows 7 pro I can use from my work and it's more easy to tweak with policy settings and stuff... If you don't do this, Home Premium will fit you too. How does it play? Serious? Now tears are falling down No really, it runs very very smooth, but...my previous pc already was very fast (mainly by quad-core, Radeon 4850 and SSD) and for ETQW there's almost no difference and rationally I could have saved my money better under the bed. But than again I'm to much of a gadget geek, that's why I wanted new stuff

My 'environment' is generally too messy to put any pics up of, hehe.
But, just ordered myself an SSD though. OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD3-2VTX120G 3.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
I wanted to wait until the Intel G3's came out to see what they can do, but I'm having major boot issues right now. I think my Raid0 is falling apart. If I'm going to do a new install, I want to try an SSD out.

Oh noes! OCZ has changed their Vertex2 series internally with less channels and 25nm memory what is causing half of the write speed it had before. Sorry to say, but if you still can return it than better go for a Corsair F120 for the same kind of price. Otherwise Intel 510 120/Corsair P3 120, but these are more expensive. Nice to hear you will change to SSD There are many tips & tricks to get it (and your OS) running optimal for it (speed/lifetime). Check for i.e. the OCZ forum. And dude...clean up the mess and post the pics I also had some cleanups before showing it to the world ;D

True, but only on special request of the buyer or after returning it to the store. And then you're still on the 25nm memory that has less lifetime than the previous die size. That last statement is not really a problem, so indeed when you can get the SSD with 32gb dies it will be OK for you I'm curious to hear how much you are gonna like using an SSD. For me still best improvement for years!

hmmm...pretty annoying to say that my new pc is not running fine, as my previous Dell XPS pc did for sure.
System feels laggy while playing, the Realtek soundchip has less good audio quality and the pc has strange issues (stuttering, blue screen, etc.).
Already had contact with my webshop to return the board for a new B3-stepping of the Intel P67 chipset. Hopefully this will solve some weird issues.
I would have liked a fully integrated working solution (no extra cards, except for graphics), but maybe I'll buy a separate better audio card and a seperate network card (Broadcom/Intel chip) to improve it. Never liked Realtek chips before, could be the issue of less (sound/lan) quality)

Except for some bluescreens (before this pc only had that hundreds of years before ), I can say ETQW runs fine again! After getting kicked because of PB issues all the time and hick-ups, I contacted PB support and quite fast they mentioned me to look at the MS Security Essentials anti-virus program. I already had excluded my complete games-folder and punkbuster-service files, but not the processes. That's exactly what fixed it. Maybe this will help others when having troubles to. At least I'm quite happy again

Ok, just placed the order for my new rig. I'll post some pics for u moosea when I get the stuff Anyway the main beef is the new sandy bridge 2500K processor, paired up with GeForce GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II and 2x4GB of DDR3. I'll stuff 'em in Fractal Desgin R3 with a Corsair 650TX PSU and throw in an OCZ Vertex II to install QW on so maps load fast enough. Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed I get this stuff next week
