Unfortunately for my wallet (but excitingly for my inner child) it's time to upgrade my gaming box. Current thinking is along the lines of: Cooler Master CM 690 II Basic Antec True Power New 650W Asus P8Z68-V Intel Core i5-2500K Akasa Nero 2 CPU Cooler 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 RAM Samsung 1TB Spinpoint F3 HDD Reuse Nvidia GTS 250 and Blu-ray drive from current machine. Any thoughts? How much hard drive do you have already? Not interested in SSD? The 120 Gigger I have is working nicely for OS and games I want fast like QW with a couple of 500 GB HDD's that I already had that I use for general storage.

How much hard drive do you have already? I've got 250GB + 750GB drives. So I'll ditch the smaller drive to leave me with 1.75TB. That will push me over my meagre budget , so I'm aiming to upgrade the RAM, GFX and add an SSD later on.

My new mouse. The old wireless one that everyone chided me about having has finally gotten funky, hehe. The right click button is majorly messed up. New one is super sensitive, and it's been tough getting it to at least be close to how the old one was setup. I probably should make use of the options on it in regards to acceleration and sensitivity, but I'm not sure I want to deal with any kind of learning curve at this point. No real reason I got this one other than it was available at a local shop for a reasonable price. www.logitech.com/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5750#

abercrabThat looks nice Dont know what you had before, but the thumb's buttons are really nice. I use them when gaming (healing my self when Strogg tech)., and when surfing the net where I use the one thumb button as "return to previous page". Good luck with new mouse.

A few photos taken after I finished building my new desktop. Not the greatest snaps, but it was 3am.
Not sure how long it'll be before I crack and buy a new GFX card and SSD.

Not sure how long it'll be before I crack and buy a new GFX card and SSD. It won't be long. I've just noticed after looking at Malkovich's new setup, of how many folks keep their tower up on the desk. I've always kept mine of the floor. Everyone like it up better?

I've always had my PC. on the floor, but I know there are many who prefer it on the table, or at least a bit over the floor due to dust.
