Ok, got my stuff yesterday, and today had my first games with the new rig (after some PunkBuster worries). I'm happy Here's all my stuff before I ripped open to packaging for some good hard sniffin: Here's the case, pristine and waiting: Here's my cooler next to the boxed one I tossed: And here it is inside the case. Has some unfortunate "hey, who the heck put that connector down there under the cooler!?!?! of crap, now I'll have to remove it again"-moments too. Here's my OCZ Vertex2 in one of the handy HDD installation device kinda thingies. Looks small Ok is it just me or has the packaging become more important since the last I assembled a computer? I mean PSU comes in cloth bag and graphics card is inserted into a block of styrofoam... and And here it is, all put together and installing windows, still with the protective plastic on the TITANIUM GREY front panel Notice the nice kitchen table and such, we're currently living in this nice refugee apartment as some dudes try to fix our place... I'll post some benchmark results as soon as I get my new mousepad....

prutskip: I'm happy with QW performance and how quickly windows boots. Other than that I'm still kinda waiting for that SSD to blow my mind. But guess it won't happen, I'll just be like "WTF what's wrong with your computer dude" when I visit a friend

Hehe, indeed there's a failure in human rase (how do you spell it?): we get used far to easy to all the good things without remembering how much we all have! ;D Ok, it's tech corner so no more philosophic talking here

CPU and Exhaust fans are software controlled. And the case came with a potentiometer to adjust fan speeds but I opted to leave it out. Actually thinking of removing the exhaust fan as it sounds like to noisiest component of my system and haven't had any temp issues as I'm running everything at stock speed.

Ok here it is, my new mousepad! It's steelseries Qck Mini: -Super durable cloth mouse pad -Specially designed non-slip rubber base It's supposed to be smooth, but it came rolled up inside the packaging, so it still has some residue deformation you can see on the picture. Preliminary testing suggests frame rates in excess of 130 (compared to the old pads ~40).

Oh yeah, this is what I've been waiting for. That is a nice mousemat. Will probably go even higher once you get the deformation flattened out.
We really need a thread just for mousepad specs.

@honde When you say liquid cooled, do you then mean? Where people put the whole computer into a cooling fluid.

Well, there's lots of options. Maybe the simplest one is to bolt a metal cup on top of your CPU and then fill it up with cold water/liquid and replace the liquid as it gets warmer Then of course there is Blue's way, you can submerge your whole rig (at least mobo & CPU) in cool, non-conductive, liquid. Of course you then have to somehow cool the liquid as it tends to get warm with 100W+ of heating power. Then there are the simple water cooling systems, that comprise of a block you install on top of your CPU, some plumbing and a pump to move the water around, and them some sinks/something to cool the water. An easy solution would be to buy one of those ready packages, for example the Corsair one you have in your picture. There's just the block you attach to your CPU and then the heatsink+fan+pump assembly you mount on the wall of your case. These things are sealed, so you don't need to change the liquid inside, you don't need to play with fluids, and theoretically you can whine to Corsair if it leaks all over your computer They sell them for around 80euros here, so not very expensive. I hope some1 with actual hands on experience can tell u more. Belfu over & out.

Nice stuff you got there moosea!
Ok i figured out something...
i was asking about liquid cooling... But now i will do it on a other way... I`m gonna change to standerd Cooler, for a bigger 1, dont know yet wich 1, but i sure need 1 for an AMD Phenom Socket.. So i`m gonna search for a nice 1, i got some few days to figure that out.. (12 days left) and gonna buy new cool paste to.. So i`m gonna empty my whole case... During that operation, i will make some pictures to and upload it at the forum....!!

Well I would suggest you at least take a look on the Coolink Corator DS I got. It's got some nice reviews, price isn't that bad (50€ here) and it comes with mounting kit for both AMD (AM2/3) and Intel so it should fir your Phenom rig too. And it comes with a tube of their Chillaramir or some such paste Of course it doesn't have any blinking lights or anything, so if you're looking for a BITCHING cooler, you'll have to look elsewhere...

Hehe, moosea, you need to dirty things up a little. Such a tidy setup on a nice table. I'm surprised not to see a vase with some flowers in it, but I think there's a hint of flowery curtains in the one pic.

Moosea - We have the same keyboard and mouse and our headphones are similar. My space is messier, though dad's house is a "man cave". Edit - Belfu, I have the larger version of your mousepad don't know why, though, not that much space on the foldable table thing I use. Have 1/3 of it stuffed under the keyboard and a little bit hanging off the side .

Good to see your gaming setup moosea!
As you could have read I'm very curious/interested to see people's gaming setups just for fun and you sure have a nice one (Alienware & Razer are top of the bill).
But indeed expected some flowers and girly stuff too ;D

Well, I'm down from gaming for some time because I've sent my defective Intel B2 stepping for a B3 replacement. Running on a Intel P4 3ghz with intel integrated graphics, darn that sucks! But at least some kind of connection with the internetzzz ;-) See you later
